Information we collect
We collect information in two ways: what you type into the inquiry form, and a small amount of technical data created automatically when the form is submitted.
Information you provide
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number, if you choose to include it.
- The candy designs you select, the type of inquiry you choose, an optional quantity and an optional preferred date.
- The text of your message, which may include details you decide to share such as an occasion, a venue requirement or dietary information.
- Your acknowledgment that you have read this policy.
Information created automatically
- The date and time of your submission.
- Your IP address, used only to rate-limit submissions and to detect automated abuse.
- A security token that prevents other websites from submitting the form on your behalf.
We do not ask for payment details, government identification numbers, health records or any other sensitive personal information, and you should not send those through this website.
Why we use it
- To read and answer your inquiry.
- To confirm availability, pricing, product information and any allergen or ingredient details you request.
- To keep a record of what was discussed, so a later conversation does not start from scratch.
- To protect the form from spam and automated abuse.
- To meet record-keeping obligations that apply to us, where they do.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send marketing email unrelated to your inquiry.
Cookies and similar technology
This site sets one cookie only, and only when you load a page containing the inquiry form. It holds a security token that verifies the form was submitted from this website. It contains no personal information. There is no advertising cookie, no analytics script, no social media pixel and no third-party tracking on this site.
Because we do not run analytics, we cannot tell you things like which page you arrived from or how long you spent reading. That is deliberate.
Who else sees your information
Your inquiry is processed by a small number of service providers, each of which handles it on our behalf:
- Our website hosting provider, which serves these pages and runs the server that receives the form.
- Our email service, which delivers the completed inquiry to our business inbox, and stores it in that mailbox.
We will also disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of our business or of others.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records are kept for up to 24 months from the date we receive them, so that repeat requests and past details can be referenced, and then deleted. Records connected to a completed order may be kept longer where bookkeeping or legal requirements call for it. Security logs used for rate limiting are kept only for a short period and then discarded.
Where your information is held
Our website and email services may store data on servers located in the United States. If you are writing to us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Security
The form is submitted over an encrypted connection, inputs are validated and sanitized on the server, and access to the business inbox is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to share only what we need to answer your question.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@qavento-house.shop with “Privacy request” in the subject line and enough detail for us to identify your inquiry. We will respond, and where a request cannot be met in full — for example because we are required to keep an order record — we will explain why.
Privacy rights differ between states and countries. We describe our own practices here rather than claiming compliance with any particular privacy law, because the rules that apply depend on where you live and on the nature of our business. If you need to know how a specific law applies to your request, ask us and we will address it directly.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging candy for themselves or as gifts. The inquiry form is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it.
